Residential water damage restoration in Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas

A busted pipe or a leaking fridge turns your home into a claim, a crew and a calendar. Surfco handles the whole water restoration process, from the first extraction to the repainted wall.

Chapter 01

Why a slow leak costs more than a burst pipe

A burst pipe announces itself. A slow leak does not. Water settles inside drywall, under flooring and behind cabinets, and by the time a stain shows on a ceiling the damage may have been spreading for a while. That hidden moisture is what lets mold and mildew take hold, which is why we ask you to call the moment you see unusual water or anything out of the ordinary in your home.

Insurance is part of the picture too. Every company has its own rules, but a long-term leak, especially one with mold growing, is generally not covered unless you pay for extra coverage. Call Surfco Restoration for a free water damage inspection. If we find no damage, you do not pay a service call fee, and you know your home is protected.

What the first visit looks like

Our water damage inspector is dispatched as soon as possible, or whenever you schedule the visit. They evaluate the damage, take moisture readings, and give you an estimate along with our honest read on whether your insurance is likely to cover it. You leave knowing what is wet and what the work involves.

When the crew comes back to start work, the job follows a fixed order. Carpet, padding, flooring and drywall come out where they have to. Water is extracted from the exposed areas and drying equipment goes in. After that, readings every day tell us whether the structure is actually drying, not just whether it feels dry to the hand.

Surfco handles the entire water restoration process: we extract the water, set the drying equipment, replace flooring and carpet, repair drywall and paint. If your damage includes something we do not do ourselves, we work with trusted, established contractors in Northwest Arkansas. Call 479-287-6205 any time, day or night.

Chapter 03

Living with drying equipment

Drying equipment runs hot and it hums. It heats the area more than normal because it is working to pull the moisture out as quickly as possible, which is how you avoid mold or mildew. We recommend staying out of that room as much as you can while it runs, for the heat and for the noise.

Equipment running for long stretches can raise your next electric bill slightly. We would rather you hear that from us than find it on the statement.

Dry is where the rebuild begins, and Surfco does that too, from drywall repair and paint to flooring and carpet. One licensed company, Arkansas Commercial Contractor License 0359010427, with over 70 years of combined restoration experience in Northwest Arkansas.
