Sanitation and disinfection cleaning in Northwest Arkansas

Surfco sanitizes medical facilities, restaurants, aircraft, offices, day cares, government buildings and homes, using HEPA filtration, SteraMist and trained custodial technicians.

Chapter 01

Who we sanitize for

Harmful bacteria, viruses, dust and air pollutants do not wait for a convenient time. Surfco offers complete sanitation services in Northwest Arkansas for medical facilities, restaurants, airplanes, office spaces, day cares, government buildings, homes and more, in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

The work is done by our professional, trained custodial staff, who wash, scrub, scour and sanitize until the property is thoroughly clean. It starts with the products. Surfco has invested in high-quality cleaning agents and tools that eliminate bacteria and limit the spread of illness and disease.

SteraMist, explained

SteraMist is the equipment we use to sanitize commercial and residential property. It runs on Binary Ionization Technology, a patented two-step process that activates and ionizes a 7.8% Hydrogen Peroxide solution through a cold plasma arc. The fine fog that results is called ionized hydrogen peroxide, or iHP.

That fog carries a high concentration of reactive oxygen species, mostly hydroxyl radicals. Hydroxyl radicals damage pathogenic organisms through cellular disruption or dysfunction, which lets the same method disinfect a small, targeted surface or a large open area.

The kill is not the hydrogen peroxide itself. The hydroxyl radical is one of the most powerful oxidizing agents of its kind. It kills fungal spores and bacteria and inactivates viruses by destroying their lipids, carbohydrates and proteins.

Chapter 03

Outbreak response and prevention

When illness is moving through a building, the job is to clean, sanitize and apply disinfectants quickly and correctly. The same methods we offered after COVID-19 exposures apply to any outbreak, and preventative cleaning is available before one starts.

Surfco is IICRC certified and holds ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) accreditation for health care environments. Our technicians clean and sanitize touch points on horizontal and vertical surfaces that are non-porous, using specialty foggers and surface misting, and we follow the guidelines and standards of the CDC, EPA and OSHA.

We stay current with the CDC, EPA and local regulatory agencies, and we share and receive information with companies around the world about the latest products, equipment and processes. Call 479-287-6205 for a free sanitation quote.

Where this work goes

Hospitals and clinics bring their own rules for containment and infection control. See how we work inside them on our healthcare page. Aircraft are sanitized on the apron, and the airports page shows that work in our own photos.

Some jobs go beyond routine sanitizing. Our residential and commercial biohazard crews also handle hoarding and sewage cleanup, and clean and sanitize after:

  • unattended death
  • homicide & suicide
  • commercial & industrial accidents
  • communicable disease disinfection
  • blood cleanup
  • biohazard remediation & disinfection
